Hadeda Ibis

This lovely Hadeda was enjoying lots of treats in the Gazanias.   Many people find them irritating with their raucous cries, but they are so much part of our SA scene. They have lovely pinky mauve colours on their wings and their back feathers are nicely patterned.
This one is quite tame and lets us go up close - Coda ignores him, and life was peaceful until Pumpkin arrived. She reckons all birds need to be chased. So she will have to learn our ways (probably impossible to teach a terrier not to chase anything that moves)
