Picturesque at Little Sparta
This broken fence is an artwork at Little Sparta, near Dunsyre in Lanarkshire. It is engraved with the word 'Picturesque' on the top strut on the right hand side of the shot. We are glad that we switched our visit to the garden from yesterday to today to take advantage of the better weather. The only drawback is that this meant that we didn't make it to the Biggar Show. (I would have happily gone to the show in the rain, but I don't think that our guests would have appreciated this. They are not as interested as I am in livestock and tractors!)
We executed another quick clothing/shoes change on our return to Edinburgh for a trip to Edinburgh City FC Social Club to see the second set of a Chil gig. We enjoyed a spot of dancing while Jack and his band mates entertained us on stage.
I had a night off catering tonight (hurrah!) when Jackie and Richard took us out for supper at the Olive Branch on Broughton Street.
We also fitted in a second game of Catan today. Once again Richard was the victor.
Exercise today: walking/dancing (13,319 steps).
