Headed For Changing Times With Hope From Daniel
It sometimes seems that the only constant in our world is change, but we know our God is sovereign and He is the only constant. We saw in last week's sermon that in the past, God did what he said He would do and fulfilled every prophecy precisely as He said He would. God does not change, so we can be sure that the prophecies in this week's scripture references for the sermon will be fulfilled in precisely the same way, just the way He said He would when the time is right. Only He knows when that will be, so what are we to do until then? We will continue to be the church body doing His work in our broken dying world and drawing people to know Him. To that end, we came to FBC this morning to worship God and enjoy the fellowship of our spiritual brothers and sisters. Jubilate, the mixed ensemble I sing in, opened the service with a rousing version of "The Lion and The Lamb". That song was followed by the welcome from Pastor Wes, after which we sang a new song for us, "Christ , Be Magnified". Since I have not yet mastered being in two places at one time, my wonderful husband took the pictures of our group. The congregation joined us in some corporate worship songs and then it was time for Pastor Wes to take us back into Daniel to talk about the fact that a difficult time lies in our future, but we can have hope and confidence in God's plan and promise to save those of us who trust Him to do what He says He will do at the appointed time. I couldn't lay it all out any better than Pastor Wes does in the Live stream, so I would urge you to watch it and be encouraged in these changing times. In the collage, you will also see pictures from last week's youth camp slide show......
