A view

This was the view when I was out for lunch (again?) at Moat Brae house in Dumfries. J M Barrie visited this house as a teenager and it is now a centre for children’s storytelling.
I have been experimenting with a new Middle Eastern recipe today, it involved marinating aubergine which has been fried in oil, but it has to sit in the fridge for two days. Tuesday is the big day when I get to assemble the final dish, so I am looking forward to that, hopefully the spicy flavour will have calmed down by then. Meanwhile the kitchen looks like a whirlwind has hit it.
