Fife Folk Museum
Headed over to North East Fife today and initially we were going to be heading up to St Andrews.
However plans were changed and after visiting a National Trust property, we ended up at the Fife Folk Museum in the village of Ceres.
With my mum originally from East Neuk of Fife and living / working on the family farm, alot of what was being displayed was a throw back to when she was a lass.
Also in the museum was a display of memorabilia from Fife Fire and Rescue Service. This was the organization that I joined 22 years ago before it all became part of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
There were a few "well known" faces in some of the photographs on display much to the amusement of my youngest son who joined us for the day out and there was even some "kit" that pre dated my time in the Brigade!
Twas good to see it all.
