Monarch Butterfly

A disappointing morning at the Butterfly House. It rained constantly which meant that there weren't that many people out and about in the park and we only had 21 visitors in the 3 hours that we were open. 
However, we did get a few jobs done and I enjoyed a good catch up with Paul and Sarah whom I've not seen for ages. 

We have our first Monarch caterpillars and hopefully they will go on to produce some more of these beautiful butterflies. This one landed on the single water lily that we have in the fish pond. Probably not a sight we'll see very often.
