Bastia

My friend C is here and today we went to Bastia.
The bus was pretty easy and we got a map and a plan from the Office de Tourisme.
A wander through St Nicholas Square, through the Old Town, popping into an amazingly ornate old church. Then round the Port, up a lovely stairway to the Citadel.
A cool drink then a look round the Musée de Bastia. Really interesting exhibition about Corsica during WW2.
A pan bagnat for lunch, a wee ice-cream and the bus home.
We had time to pop to the beach for a swim. Lovely.
It is very hot, at night too and I'm having second thoughts about being here on my own in the heat so I've changed my plans and am going to come home a bit early and go and stay at dad's.
