New beginnings

After all the excitement of the anniversary celebration it was back down to earth today, or rather, down to compost. I had great fun preparing my vegepod with layers of vermiculite and compost and then planting my first vegetable plants: kale and cabbage. There is still plenty of space for more so I think I will try turnips and Brussels sprouts, two of my favourite winter veg which aren’t easy to purchase locally, especially the turnips.
