Unity and Hope

I volunteered with the People's Cafe (also known as Waste-into-Wellbeing) at the Unity Festival in the Town Hall today.  We had a multi-national team of cooks to help us, and served Turkish lentil soup, Ukrainian piroshki with cabbage, Colombian arepas with cheese and a fried egg, and lashings of delicious Polish cakes.
After lunch the newly-formed local singing group Growing Singing performed a few songs about welcoming refugees and about the hope that we can live in unity in the future.
