Slings and Arrows
On the way back from Ballydehob last night I had a slip and fall on some loose stones on a slight slope and heard the small cracking sound as my arm hit the kerb.
So I have a small fracture on the wrist and a cast for a few weeks till they fully assess it, could be worse, hopefully won't need any more intervention.
On the plus side too, rather than travel an hour East to Cork and the big hospital there, where you can be waiting for 24 hours, I waited until this morning and went to Bantry hospital, an hour West. I was seen by a receptionist, a nurse, a doctor, had an x-ray and a cast put on and was heading back out the door in 45 minutes. Great service.
