The Empire Builder makes a stop
Today I got going on The Pratt Boys diner. Washed up the castings and will paint them tomorrow with primer. I like to use the Tamiya Fine Surface Primer. It works well on plastic, metal castings, wood, etc. I use it because it has a very fine particle paint that does not drown details. Once dry I air brush the parts with color.
Anyway, while the pieces were drying from washing them up, I ran the Great Northern empire Builder. Yes - it is a long train - probably too long for my present layout but I just like it. My dad actually told me he road on it once long ago. My consist is as accurate as I could do. To provide sound there is a sound decoder and speaker in the baggage car. Fun stuff and being Kato completely it runs great.
