Meadow Brown
I decided to go back to nature today and concentrated on butterflies. I found many meadow browns, a few ringlets and a lot of whites, most of which never stopped to be identified, but those which did, were small whites and green-veined whites.
I was surprised at the very tatty state of most of the meadow browns and ringlets. I have blipped the best individual meadow brown, Maniola jurtina, that I saw.
All were found beside the Fife Coastal Path at Seafield, Kirkcaldy.
