Just in time

Much of the buddleia has finished flowering, its blooms turning brown. Till now its only visitors have been bees and hoverflies. Even the large whites don't seem to have bothered with it. At last, in time for Flower Friday, along comes a Red Admiral, and finds a nice flower at its peak (roses visible in the background). I have never known so few butterflies around at this time of year, and throughout June, too. Such a shame.

Apparently, for her last day at Nursery today, little Miss B (who dresses herself) chose to wear her new crochet-motif t-shirt. Daughter sent me a photo (See my Extra where the t-shirt wearer is cuddling her brother between her knees while he enjoys 'tummy time'. He has a big grin on his face! Their love for each other continues.) and it's only a little bit on the big side. I think my crochet hook and knitting needles come with a built-in 'growing room' setting. I'm working on the never-ending button band of the young master's buttoned jacket and it's going to be on the big side. Good thing: should still fit him in the autumn.

Have a lovely weekend, blipmates. And let's hope for more butterflies.
