In the swamp

The small swamp behind Boulder Beach was quite dry when I walked past today. We've had very little rain for some time. That's not unusual here in winter - most of our rain comes in summer. This tall reedy plant grows in the swamp to 2-3 m tall. I've tagged it for Flower Friday, but I supect it flowered in late summer and what we're seeing here is more seed than flower. I'm not sure about its identity - one possibility is Giant Reed, Arundo donax.
