Thursday: Berries

The Black Leaved Elderflower is full of berries this year, the blackbirds have been very busy feasting on them and on the windfall apples which I throw onto the garden :-)

MrD went off for a day on his motorbike, visited family near Ruthin.

Potted on some tomatoes: Sungold, Gardener’s Delight, Raspberry Oxheart, Costoluto di Parma, San Marzano which have grown big enough to go into the greenhouse. I cleaned up some more seed for The Cottage Garden Seed Swap … if anyone is interested https://www.thecgs.org.uk

Made compote from windfall apples, shop plums past their best and last year’s blackberries from the freezer - minimum sugar and MrD is happy! Went to check on the blackcurrants https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3124437725860596895 - but the blackbirds have eaten most of them as well as ALL the redcurrants … we’re supposed to be sharing … !!

I’m planning on watching “Magpie Murders” again on iPlayer … and maybe an early night :-))
