Penny Bun

Or so I believe.  My reward for getting to the top of Arnside Knott again. Mrs. K. needed to go up to check on several plants so I use her as my pacemaker.

The weather was perfect for such an expedition. 15C, blue sky with a few fluffy white clouds, no wind and low humidity. If I lived in Greece or Italy I would come here for my holiday.

The Penny Bun is native to the northern hemisphere although it has been introduced to the southern one. It is highly thought of by chefs and foodies and you can buy it but it is hard to grow commercially. One author has seen it for sale at £50 per. Kg.
But I only eat fungi which has been bought in reputable shops.
