Today has been rather busy. We started the morning with a visit to the bank and then the supermarket. Time for a quick coffee, then a visit to our student rental. Our current tenants are finishing their degrees this year and moving on. Student flats, especially those close to the university, are in strong demand. I had been approached by a prospective group who knew the current tenants. They viewed the property and loved it, so I have drawn up a new lease for 2024.
I was not home long, and it was time to pick up Lincoln and Elliott from school. They are both staying with us tonight.
10pm came, and I realised that I had no photo. We have a pictorial calendar, and my photo which is on the calendar comes from Christmas 1995. We had stopped on top of the Benmore hydroelectric dam to do some sightseeing. This brings back wonderful memories of our first ever BMW, a 1988 320i. Personalized plate TEECHA. We only use 6 characters in our number plates in New Zealand, so the spelling was always going to be wrong.
I have not long finished watching New Zealand beat Norway 1-0 in the opening match of the FIFA Women's World Cup. What a thrill. Our first ever win in the history of the tournament. It could have been 2-0, had a spot penalty not hit the cross bar.
