A new rule

Another day testing donated recipes. After three attempts to make these (and sieving three lots of sodding apple purée - which seems like a hell of a lot of effort for some frankly underwhelming biscuits) I have decided that three times is enough, if a recipe doesn't work after that then it isn't going in the book.

My son went back to the South West this morning so I spent a while feeling extremely sad but the baking took over in the end and I got over myself.

A visit from E & P this afternoon came at the perfect moment, I'd done enough by then and a good natter with a cup of tea was just the ticket.

Border Tarts and possibly a rainbow cake tomorrow. I'm tired of brown!
