Dunstable Downs
Nicola and I went to the Downs this afternoon for a picnic in the sun. It was kind of breezy but so so lovely to be outside in the sun. It was great to catch up with nic after 6 (?) or so weeks! Lots of exciting life things have happened in this time: we've both handed in dissertations/ finished exams and uni forever/ Nic has found herself a full-time job/ I've got my place on a Masters course/ we've both booked holidays etc so lots to talk about! As you can see from the photo, the Downs are a popular place at home to go for the afternoon, and it is a prime location for kite flying.
Went over to the Rockley's for a few hours, and spent time chilling in the sun by the pool and eating a nut free (yay!) carrot cup cake made by Georgia. She's a great little baker-ette.
Myself and Ryan, our two sets of parents, and Sam (7th wheel) went to dinner at a fantastic Thai restaurant in Harpenden in the evening. It has been ages since every one has caught up, the food was great, and the highlight was dad drawing attention to how he looks like the Yorkshire Ripper when he has a beard. Just brilliant.
