A stray

I did some gardening in my wild shady area today. I planted some exotic shade loving plants, when I came across this weird thing.
I grew from a very long stem, seeking the light, got twisted and grew like a corkscrew, and at the end it had these tufty things.

If you haven’t guessed I can reveal that it is just a humble leek! A stray from my veg patch that got lost in the shady garden and making the best of it. Determined to have some offspring.
