I Don't Think He Meant To Surprise Me!

In fact, this Green Heron looked a little uncertain as he landed on the bridge cable, only 3-5 feet from me,  He hesitated just long enough for me to snap about four shots.  This one was my favorite.  I could have turned around a gone home at that moment, but I wasn't sure how the pictures would turn out, so I kept going and was rewarded at the other end of my walk with more sightings as he walked along the far side of the creek. I have put one of those in the extras along with a collage of the others from my walk that I liked....Though it does not fit the challenge for Wide Wednesday, I have cropped my shots wide, so I am tagging it for both Wide and Wild Wednesday.
