La senda.

The senda is a footpath, alongside the river Viacaba, which runs north/south through Cabranes. It was created about 18 years ago, partly as a work-creation scheme which accompanied a number of other schemes and activities: the north-south road through the area was broadened, straightened, and resurfaced, internet access was made possible, a sports centre and retirement-home-for-the elderly was built, and more. So the senda provided work but also met the tourism and economic development aims of the new Alcalde. This little stretch of the old road remains as it was. 
And just to the side of it there are wild buddleia - they´re in the extra.
