Uphill all the Way to Princetown!

There are often clouds on Dartmoor at this time of year, even though it can be clear blue over the sea. There is also usually a breeze which makes it pleasant for walking. 4 miles though today was enough before it became too warm!  The first part of my walk where this shot was taken follows the course of the old railway line to Princetown. The steam engines must have needed a good head of steam to  get up here. The views though across the the Tamar valley towards Bodmin moor are spectacular. The course of the old railway continues to the left on this image, winding around granite tors and quarries to reach it's final destination at Princetown.
