June Gloom

Around here the June mornings are overcast. We call it "June Gloom" but it's my favorite part of the year. The early morning cloud cover brings our little bit of moisture and shields us from the sun. It is usually gone by early afternoon.

Without the morning overcast our days would be much warmer. With the gloom our days range from 65F to 70F (18 to 21C). Without the "gloom", our days would be in the high 80's and 90's (30 to 35C).

Hooray for gloom!
