Herd in the City...

Prepare to be bored silly this Summer with photos of elephants!! After the success of the Hare Trail, this year in Southend we have a herd of elephants  - 46 large ones and 72 babies - all over Southend, Leigh On Sea, and Shoeburyness!!  So we're going to have good fun trying to photograph them all and wear our legs out in the process!!

So a quick visit to Southend this  morning as needed to use the bank and we managed to spot 15 elephants - I won't include the ones we didn't photograph along the seafront! - and the artwork is stunning on them all as usual!  This one - Learning to Fly - was under the railway bridge which still has the fun bird artwork up!

So we visited Herd HQ and bought a map showing their locations and also got a couple of elephant ornaments which are all being sold to raise funds for Havens Hospices.
