Seal Serenade
I was walking the cliffs of Rothiesholm Head on the island of Stronsay when I heard singing. Looking over the edge I saw these two grey seals. The further one was in mid-aria and the nearer one swam in, climbed onto the rock and joined in. I have heard seals singing often, but they are nearly always on some distant skerry. I was high above them, shot through a cleft at 400mm and they never noticed me. Other wildlife- a family of red-throated divers, Arctic skuas chasing Arctic terns, bar-tailed godwits etc. The extra is where I left the bike before my walk, looking toward Copinsay.
