Cycle ride to Ely

Monkey's school was closed today for teacher training, he wanted to go out on his bike to the local park.

We cycled past the park, through the village and out towards Barway, where we joined the number 11 cycle route that took us upto Ely along beside the River Ouse.

We got some food in Tesco and then had a picnic in the Jubiliee gardens before cycling home.
I measured the route, this is the longest that Monkey has ever cycled, about 18 miles.
He is now crashed out on the sofa, having a rest before he goes back out for his Cubs meeting.
