Perfect Summer Day
We did some gardening work in the morning so we could go out and play this afternoon.
This is the Stone Arch Bridge as it crosses the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The bridge was built in 1883 as a railroad bridge to bring wheat to the mills. Now, especially on a gorgeous day like this, it is busy with walkers, runners and bicyclist.
We had lunch at a recently opened bar & grill called Zeke's Unchained Animal. They recently won an award for worst name for a restaurant. A friend of a friend had a photo show here that we wanted to see. The beer (local breweries), the food and the photos were all good, so worth the trip. Then we took a drive along the river, stopping to take photos along the way, of course. This photo was taken from the Guthrie Theater. The Guthrie welcomes the public to come into the theater to visit their "Endless Bridge" which offers an incredible view of the area.
