Shenzhen: Boarding School

Mad dash to and from Hong Kong today for a lunchtime appointment. Very fortunate that at 8am the hundreds of school kids were in the 'E Channel' and not in my 'Foreigner' immigration channel. They processed them at lightning speed though.

(Yes, yes, Hong Kong is part of China but we still have to keep immigration officials in a job, don't we? So, yes, there is still a border to cross).

So, are they Mainland Chinese kids going to school in Hong Kong? Certainly looked like it. I read an article just yesterday about Hong Kong residents missing out on places in the top primary schools (yes, primary schools) to an increasing number of Mainland Chinese.
