Framed
I've often looked at the windows of this house, which look directly onto the street on one of the lanes leading out of the village. For a long time, I assumed no-one was living there, as I have never seen any sign of life behind the tightly closed lace curtains. Today, though, there was a watering can outside the side door and the little patch of lawn at the side of the house had been neatly cut, so I'm not so sure. I like the variegated bricks, the weathered wood of the window frames, and the contrast with the rather delicate pattern and texture of of the lace curtains.
