An expensive outing!

"Rather unsettled weather" was putting it mildly! There had been several showers through the morning but nothing too heavy. We were hopeful of a break in the rain to go for our walk. 

However this was not what happened! We were about to get ready & leave as the clouds became darker & darker ..... not a good sign!

We decided to wait a short while to see if it passed over! It didn't!

We were really glad we had waited ..... it started blowing a gale & the rain was hammering down ... I think we would have been battered into the ground by it!

Instead of a walk we decided to go to Downtown our local (privately owned not a chain) department store to look for a new mattress.

We had been "getting round to" going to look for one for a while as ours is getting past it 'sell by date'!

It turned out to be an expensive outing but productive as we have chosen a new mattress & now await delivery.

A quick "just in case" garden blip of another of the "Blue Mix" flowers taken this morning .... good thing I did! :-)
