Summer flowers

The week is starting here with a blue skied sunny day.
I have made a collage of a few favourite pink and red flowers.
The top left is a pale pink rhododendron.
The rose is from the gift my son gave me for Mothers' Day and it is a joy to see it flowering again after resting for a while.
The Aquillegia is especially pretty in shades of pink and cream.
The clematis, in pale pink is very floriferous and covers a nearby wall.
The pink blossoms behind Shawbrook Close have been in flower for quite a while.The deep red rhododendron on Somerset Road is a splendid shrub and looks great in the morning sunlight.
Plenty to rejoice in and be thankful for, as I appreciate all the beauty around our neighbourhood.
