Liberty Boats

Liberty Boats, the RN name given to the small craft that ferry the ships company ashore for leave or ‘liberty’ when the ship is anchored off rather than going alongside.
Following an abbreviated stint at the rugby club this morning Mrs S and I headed to Castle Beach Cafe for coffee and cake whilst enjoying the view out over the bay.
This is ‘Regal Princess', either anchored or using her propellers and thrusters to remain in position and running boats to & fro to enable passengers to land and enjoy Falmouth.

Rugby Club; I was with the Thursday Gang for the morning but with the emphasis still on the 150 celebrations which culminate with the ‘Gala’ dinner a week Saturday there seemed little I was able to do. There is of course plenty to do and still too few to do it. The scale drawing of the club house is progressing and should be finished next week.

Epic rowing in the evening, it’s going well, I’m trying to go as often as I can in preparation for Septembers Great River Race, 21.6 miles, Millwall to Richmond. Nine weeks away, I’m quite looking forward to it and determined to do well.
