Long's, Redux

Ok, here's the last shot of Long's Peak while we wait for the sun to turn a snowfield into a white dove. You won't see this angle again until, oh, August.

From this angle, Long's looks like a thumb. The biggest snowfield looks like the nail. Now, to find the snowfield that will become the dove, look just below the "nail" and to the right to something that looks like a schmear of cream cheese (but not the pointy mountain). In about another 6-7 weeks, a dove will emerge, assuming of course that we don't continue to have snow at elevation.

Enough of Long's! The next mountain I'll introduce you to will be one of my personal faves.
