Slow out the blocks, but still managed to get bread from the local food project and a quick scoop up of supplies from the local supermarket (see blip).
After lunch, it was onto a bus then a train. Yes - the return of competitive football can only mean one thing. The 1339 Inverness train, with team news between Camelon and Larbert. It's like we've never been away.
We rolled up at Forthbank via the lovely finished station exterior and sunshine to take in the Binos v Ayr United. Noone had Ross McGeachie in the sweepstake for first goal of the season but it was he who knocked in a decent hit for a lead we held until the 84th minute when Blair Currie failed to hold a shot and Dryden banged in the rebound. From a position of 3 points we then conspired to loose the penalty shoot out and ended up with a solitary point when we were 6 minutes from all three.
Tom headed to E Craigs after the game;Alex and i tucked into fajitas and the tour highlights accompanied by a cheeky Italian white
