Anticipation

I have been an avid Wimbledon fan for the last 50 odd years. The first match I saw live was in 1973. One of my favourite Sundays in the year is the Men’s Finals day. I think I have watched them all since the late 60’s.
Today, my friend and neighbour, Diane, came in to watch it with me. I baked some scones and we settled down with a Pimms each. Strangely, we both went to Wimbledon in 1996 and bought seat pads. These were ceremoniously placed beneath the tv. I took the photo just before the players came out. It was a thrilling match and the result was what we wanted!
