Back to the pond.

The weather has been much better than we thought. Very breezy but dry and mainly sunny. Had a walk over to the pond and as usual were greeted by the goslings with mum and dad trying to keep up with them.

Very murky and despite the rain it seems to be going down.
There is another small duckling. Just the one. Also a young moorhen.
All the flowers round the edge are looking lovely. Plenty of bees about, but didn’t see any butterflies. Probably too breezy.
We spotted a new addition to the pond, which made us laugh, especially as a gentleman, who was taking his dog for a walk, said he had put it there yesterday, and was already causing a stir, with lots of people taking photos!

We took a short cut on the way home. Through a field of horses, but they weren’t interested in us. Too busy eating.

Then I sat in the garden with a cuppa, while MrC turned on the TV to watch the tennis and also Le Tour. Swapping between the two.
Quite pleased that it is one set all at the moment.
