Seven Sisters
A day off, mostly spent at Seaford Head NR, where we enjoyed visiting saltmarsh, chalk grassland and a rocky shore and enjoying views across to the Seven Sisters cliffs.
It had been a long time since I'd been rock-pooling and it was fun to spot all the familiar creatures including plenty of Snakelocks Anemones, Shore Crabs and gobies.
Less good was finding an Asian Shore Crab, a invasive species known from the UK for about ten years, which probably arrived here clinging to the hull of a ship from France.
