Lens

I got a new lens! A 50mm 1.8, nothing too fancy, but after almost a year of really only using the lenses that came with my camera it's so nice to have something new to play with.

I woke up this morning feeling not so great, which really is my own fault! I lazed about until it was time to go and meet Julia in the city (in fact, I was so lazy I almost missed my train, oops). We'd decided to treat ourselves to a super decadent hot chocolate, so after I'd picked up my lens we headed to Chokolait in Royal Arcade and chatted for ages over a couple of dark hot chocolates. Yum!

After that we headed back to Julia's house because her lovely cousin, Iwona (who I first met in Opole about three years ago), was giving me a massage. She's studying physio and does massages as well, so I had a very lovely afternoon of relaxation thanks to her. Afterwards we had tea and cake and then I went home and collapsed on the sofa and tried to stay awake for dinner. Despite the hangover from last night, I had a very lovely day.

I took a lot of photos with my new lens, and it was really hard picking which one to blip - this one, this one and this one were all strong contenders! But as usual, Tabby won out because I captured her mid-yawn looking rather adorable, and I think the lens's abilities are well displayed here.
