I had a walk at Miners Marsh this morning. Not much activity there today. I could hear the birds singing in the trees, but they were staying out of sight. The red winged blackbirds were around and there were some ducks in the marsh. I did catch this moth on a rose leaf. It was a cloudy, hot, humid day.
I stopped a a garden center to pick up some things for a job. The cashier was checking the receipt afterwards and she discovered that the first 3 items rang thru as a refund. She wasn't sure why that happened, but she decided not to worry about it. She knows that I have a landscaping business and come in there on a regular basis, so she let it go.
The second garden center I stopped at, she must have started ringing someone else thru, then they went looking for something else and she never cancelled it. I thought my total was rather high for what I had, so when she gave me the receipt I checked it, and there were several items that I didn't have. She refunded those, and I checked my receipt again. I am supposed to get a discount there, but it never showed up. Now I have to call the office on Monday to get everything straightened out.
I don't keep in touch with some of my family, I got tired of dealing with their drama. I have a lot less stress in my life since I stopped the contact with one sister and one niece. My other sister contacted me today to let me know that our niece spent 11 days in hospital in North Carolina, she had a collapsed lung. Now she has to be on oxygen all the time. When they travelled, which they did on a regular basis, they never bothered to have extra insurance, so now they will be stuck with a huge hospital bill. And money was always so important to my niece, she was forever bragging about how much money they had. This will be the end of their travelling days.
