Son of Jefe

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Today we went to see "Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part One".

That's a lot of colons.

If you are anything like me, you saw the trailer/featurette thingy of Tom Cruise CHEATING DEATH yet again* when he throws himself off a cliff. So we HAD to go and see it.

Caro wasn't sure.

"I don't know that I can be @rsed," she said. But then I showed her the trailer and she very quickly got very @rsed.

Also @rsed were Jefe, Manda, Mo, Briar and Luke and Alicia.

I have not yet mentioned Luke. I think he's going to be coming up a bit more in future so let me describe him. He's another business analyst and if you imagine Stephen Merchant in his 30's then that's him**.

He's English, he's very funny and EXTREMELY inappropriate. He's been known to introduce me as "our data analyst and my lover" in meetings.

"Oh he calls EVERYONE his lover," Olivia told me.

Disappointing. I'm not special.

So he came along today as well. He didn't get chance to be too naughty though, on account of we went straight into the movie and also his partner Alicia was there. We think he behaves himself around Alicia.

"He's stopped sending me random stuff on Insta since they moved in," complained Olivia.

Anyway. We all LOVED the movie. This one made my palms sweat even more than usual. The big climactic scene on a train was tense, exciting and OH MY GOD NOOOOOOOO NOT ANOTHER ONE...

I've said too much.

Jefe was unimpressed with the cliff scene though.

"Oh I could have done that!" he claimed.

We rolled our eyes.

Nevertheless fun was had. Jefe took this picture of me in the arcade outside the movie theatre and captioned it, "Look how happy he is! So proud of our little guy!!"

I asked him if his actual son knows that Jefe has adopted a 54 year old Englishman.

You'll find more pictures in the extras of Jefe taking on Briar at air-hockey and Caro and Manda grabbing at Tom Cruise's manly bits.

And I was worried about Luke being inappropriate.

S.

* And again, and again...
** I'm not kidding. Stephen Merchant is his avatar on Teams. That's how much he resembles him.
