You'll have to imagine the sound - this was the waterfall at Routin Brig after a night of rain.

The weather has been better today than forecast, though..I managed two walks without getting very wet and a morning's gardening, unexpectedly. We're at the stage when vegetation is growing so quickly and there's so much to cut back after flowering. I also picked the first apricots from the old tree in the ancient greenhouse, but found a wasp's nest hanging right above it. The rest of the fruit will be tricky to harvest..

I haven't heard from Sarah and Chris since lunchtime when Sarah sent me a video of Chris running up Great Shunner Fell with a big smile on his face. Sarah said "The thunder has started, the sky is dark". They're having a lovely time :-)
