Woody has decided to conduct the Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten.  We heard it on The First night of the proms and it has been running around in my head since!!   A real earworm!

It was a wonderful evening with a very talented  Finnish Conductor: Dalia Stasevska.  The joy on her face as she conducts and the wonderful lights and darks she obtains from her orchestra!

They played Finlandia by Sibelius,
Let there be light by Frolyak - a piece commissioned by the BBC.  A world premier. (giving hope to Ukraine)
Grieg's Piano concerto in A minor (remember this sketch?)

And after the interval: Snofrid by Sibelius and finally The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten.

I'm looking forward to more music over the next two months!!!
