Day trip to the Alps

Today we were back in the east via the motorway instead of the slow route of the last time (the A71). We had been hoping to visit the Gardening Scotland show at Ingleston but had been waiting to see what the weather would be like. The forecast was good and it turned out better! It had been a few years since our last visit and there seemed to be more of everything. Whereas the last occasion had been of general interest, today we were looking for something in particular - a hen house, to be precise. Sure enough, there it was or, rather, there they were - there were several to chose from. We made acquaintance with a helpful sales person who advised us which one would suit us our hens best. We don't have much recent experience - it is more than 40 years since we last looked after the creatures. Things have moved on since then - although the hens are much the same, the house we were eyeing up is made of recycled rubber. The biggest decision appeared to be which colour to choose. We've been given a couple of days to make up our minds.

There were plenty of blip options at the show but this one seemed ripe for confusion. And we did buy a couple of plants while we were there and we're tempted by a pretty cool (that's the wrong word) greenhouse, wrapped in - bubble wrap! Next year, perhaps.
