Looks like the weather is going to break soon so I spent the day in the garden.  So many of the plants have grown huge very quickly, they need cutting back before they swamp the smaller ones beneath them! 

The lupins have had it! Lots of snail damage and the flowers are over so they've been chopped down and already there are tiny new leaves in amongst the roots. I've done the same with a lot of the garden geraniums. It was heartening to see several little plants underneath them, ones that had been completely hidden by the exuberance of the foliage!  

After all the crouching, bending and kneeling, a good leg stretch of a walk was just what I needed!
