Frenzy

Gannets have been very visible along Seven Mile Beach this week. I photographed a large flock feeding all around this fisherman, circling and plunging into the ocean. Late in the day they form large floating rafts of a hundred or more birds which I imagine is how they spend the night. By sunrise the next morning they are busily fishing again.
