Holy Spirit

This gloriously rich red is from Casa Santos Lima, a grand, family run property located just below Lisbon and not far from the Atlantic coast. The estate was founded by Joaquim Santos Lima at the end of the 19th century and today, three generations later, produces some of Portugal's finest bottles - thanks in no small part to the talent and experience of José Neiva Correia, one of Portugal's most respected winemakers.Rich and ripe, with excellent structure and acidity, Quinta do Espirito Santo is a delicious combination of the port grape Tinto Roriz and the renowned Castelão. Inky black in colour with intense blackberry and damson fruit and notes of mocha, it makes a most tasty glass with roast beef and duck, stews and rich game dishes or even as a late night drink to savour on a Sunday! No puns about being full of the holy spirit!
