One Tenacious Tree

Hiked today up towards Crater Lake.   We are a little north Durango.  No trains here but I could not miss this little tree that decided that this rock would make a wonderful place to grow.  Go figure.  I guess it was right.

The extra is Andrews Lake that you hike pass on the way up to the tree.  The lake is about 10,700 feet altitude and the little tree was a bit over 11,200.  Beautiful day - good to be out and hiking.
