Rain, rain, rain
& then it was gone.
I decided to tidy the greenhouse after breakfast. No plot visit as it was raining. Another job done. Seed that I've harvested ready to sow on the Chudleigh Wild patch, plastic pots & seed trays stacked.
I dropped hubby at the doctors for 8.55sm, grabbed some shopping, dropped him back home then headed down to CK. Full waterproofs & wellies this morning. It was lashing down but I actually enjoy walking in the rain as long as my glasses don't get covered in raindrops. Wearing a baseball cap under my hood solves that problem. Not a great look but effective. About half way around the heath I could feel my legs getting wet. The waterproof trousers have sprung a leak. Hey ho!
Coffee with Mum. Sorted her meal for today then headed back to Chudleigh. Prepped dinner, had lunch, then watched the tennis. Ons Jabeur through yesterday. What a match. Today Djokovic won his match, then Medvedev v Alcaraz. Alcaraz won, so should be a great final on Sunday.
I did'nt take a single photo all day, strangely enough, so once the rain stopped I ventured out & snapped my latest repurpose. I spotted this light fitting for sale outside a house in the town. £2. A bargain, ideal for planting up with my 'Empress of India' nasturtiums. It should be hanging up but couldn't find a way.
Posted a message on the local FB page regarding the parcel left at Mum's in error. The recipient found, Korean noodles in the parcel apparently. Amy picked up the parcel on her way home from work.
The woodpecker has been in the garden again today, fresh peanuts in the feeder so that should keep it happy.
Watched BBC First Night of the Proms from the Royal Albert Hall. A beautiful building enhanced by some great lighting & wonderful music.
Another wet day forecast tomorrow so I'm off to find some waterproofs that are waterproof.
Wishing you all a good weekend.
