Painted Lady
Another morning walk at Castor Hanglands, arriving back at the car just before the thunderstorm arrived! There were plenty of Purple Hairstreaks, mostly fluttering around the high tops of the oaks, but just one came down to nectar on some bramble (see extra) Also plenty of freshly emerged Nymphalids, including a supremely beautiful Painted Lady, presumably locally grown from its pristine condition.
